 The North Alabama Conference East District is pleased to announce two upcoming UMCOR training opportunities. Whether you are looking to prepare your local congregation or serve on the front lines after a storm, we have a place for you to grow and serve.

We are excited to announce that both sessions will be led by our new Conference Disaster Response Coordinator, Chris Ackerman. To sign up for either (or both) of these training sessions, please contact your East District Disaster Coordinator:


If you feel called to provide a Christian presence and hands-on help in the immediate aftermath of a disaster, this ERT Training is for you. Participants will learn how to safely assist with "muck outs," tarping, and debris removal while working within the UMCOR disaster management system.  Completion of this course is the first step toward receiving your official ERT badge.
