Pastor Mike Butler
Pastor Mike Butler grew up in north Alabama, graduating from Florence, AL, High
School. He received his BA in Pastoral Ministries from Southeastern College, Lakeland,
FL; a Master of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary; and a M.S. in International Relations (Global Affairs/Africa) from Troy University, AL.
Rooted in traditional Wesleyan and Anglican theology, he has pastored churches in
Cherokee, Florence, Decatur, Cullman, Dora, Killen and Ranburn, AL beginning in 1996. He has served in disaster response & recovery as well as local community and mission work.
Pastor Mike’s wife is Teri Timbes Butler who has served as a Disaster Case Manager for the North Alabama Conference. She has now retired to focus more on their grandchildren. Their daughter, Whitney Butler Carter, is married to Chris Carter. They live in Gadsden and have two children. Their other daughter is Courtney Butler Allen, who is married to Sgt. Cody Allen, USAF. They live in Pinehurst, NC and have two children.
Mike looks forward to meeting each one of you and sharing ideas on moving the church forward.
