Reverend Vicki Cater came to Red Ridge in July of 2017 from the Mountain Lakes District.
She served in that district for 8 years working a dual appointment with Steele UMC and Walnut Grove UMC. She is a graduate of Mississippi University for Women and holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Candler School of Theology in Atlanta. Vicki has been in pastoral ministry for 24 years and been a Full-Time Elder in the North Alabama Conference since 2006.
Vicki presently serves as Administrator for the Conference License School, licensing local pastors coming into the ministry. She also teaches a class on Spirituality there. Additionally, she serves on the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry. Vicki is a licensed Rape Response Counselor, Crisis Counselor, and has been trained in Disaster Relief. She knows her way around a hospital and has done volunteer work as a hospital chaplain.
She and husband Bill Cater have 5 children and 13 grandchildren.
Interests outside the church include camping, grandchildren, and riding with Bill on a motorcycle.
